AUTHOR GUEST OF HONOR:

                   JAN PACK

Jan hails from our region, and is a multifaceted professional.  She writes, teaches writing, edits other writers work, reads other writers work, has been known to act, is adept at a few handicraft type endeavors, and has been known to have  fun upon occasion.  She was with us for our first ever Convention, and we hope she will keep coming back.

ARTIST GUEST OF HONOR:

BRENT  CHUMLEY

Brent is our first ever Aritist Guest of Honor, and we hope he won't be the last.  We also hope this won't be his last visit with us.  His area of expertise is sci fi/fantasy art.  His work has been influenced by all the fantasy greats:  Elmore, Boris, Frazetta, Parkinson and others.  It's strongly comic-influenced realism.  Brent says, of his work, "I try to make people think when they look at my work."   Hmmmm, thinking at a sci fi con???

ALSO SCHEDULED TO APPEAR:

BEN HECKENDORN

Ben is, like, this Hacker Guy who has developed some interesting techniques for "using"  game controllers, and "enjoying" electonic and computer games.  He's been described by some of his friends as weirdly strange, and by other friends as strangely weird  and by still other friends as "Ben who??"  Bexides being an ace hacker, and a gamesman, and a controller freak, Ben has been heavily involved in some independent film making.  Perhaps he has lost some weight by now, though.  Some of his more noteworthy titles have been, "Adventure,"  "Adventurous," "The Lizard of Death," and "Port Washington," to name just a few.  Those of you who have never seen any of these works, don't worry.  We're fairly certain that Ben would be glad to help you find a way to rectify that oversight.  Please, don't ask Ben for his autograph, though, as this would involve his accessing some sort of old fashioned writing implement, and ....paper.  We're not real sure how this 21st century marvel feels about paper, and writing upon it.

STUDIO ANTI THESIS

Studio Anti Thesis is a group of pro-amateur aritists and writers from Madison, Wisconsin who create small press comics.  Their works appear  as self-published  'zines and online at http://www.studioantithesis.com.   They are strongly influenced by a wide variety of Japanese, European, and American comic artist and their work fuses elements of those distinct traditions.  Besides creating comics, they've also organized educational presentations and they encourage other budding comic artists in their endeavors.
