SECURITY:

        SECURITY is the term by which we refer to those tireless volunteers who wander around the convention space, answering questions, assisting con attendees, guiding the celebrity guests, making sure everyone has paid the appropriate fees to attend, and is wearing the correct Con Badge.

     Your Con Badge is your "ticket" of admission to the Convention and all the activities that are scheduled (remember, the Friday Nite Dinner is extra, though).  We'll be offering complete weekend packages, as well as one day packages (two days is just two one day packages added together), different age groups will require different badges.  Folks who haven't paid to attend the convention will not be allowed in and around the convention space.  The only place non-badged people will be allowed will be the Dealers' Room, just inside the entrance of the Cedarberry Inn.  Don't expect to spend the day in the Dealers' Room without purchasing a Con Membership and acquiring that badge, however.  The "Free Sample" entry to the Dealers' Room will only allow you a few minutes to look around.  After you've been there a while, if you haven't already started making a move toward Con Registration to get your badge, you will be asked, graciously, to do so.  If you prefer, at that time, to forgo the honor of paying to attend our convention, you will be asked to complete your tour of the Dealers' Room quickly, and depart our Convention area.

     Anyone not displaying the proper Con Badge inside the Convention Facility will be asked to either purchase a Con Registration, or to leave the premises.  Anyone asked to leave the Convention premises who refuses upon being asked to leave the first time, will be asked to leave the second time by local law enforcement personnel.

     Lost badges will require the purchase of a replacement badge at a cost of $5.00 each, regardless of package, or age group.  Should the lost badge be recovered the individual may obtain a refund of the $5.00 badge replacement fee by bringing both badges to Con Headquarters/Registration, and surrendering one of those badges.

     Our SECURITY volunteers are also responsible for "Lost & Found" reports and assistance, "Lost Child" assistance, and in dire emergencies, "Lost Spouse" assistance.  SECURITY will be responsible for control of autograph lines, lines waiting to enter a particular activity or session, crowd and traffic control throughout the convention.

     Our SECURITY volunteers will be clearly identified, as will other Convention Staff Personnel.
